The Old Veteran

I know the quality of this photo isn't super great, but that's because I just snapped it on my phone during one of the few times this fussy little meatball would actually stand still.

This is Elliot, one of six horses living on our farm. Of the six of them, four officially belong to my mother, and two of them officially belong to me. Although when you get down to it, it makes no difference "who's horse is who's" because we just interchange them anyway.

Anyways, this precious pony is mine, and he's more like a mini draft horse than a pony. He has a wonderful temperament, aside from being stubborn, and is adorably fat. He's getting a little on in years, but he's still healthy and happy. If you'll notice, he only has one eye. He lost it to an infection of Psedomonas aureginosis bacteria a few years back, when a tiny scratch on the cornea got infected and turned into a giant puss pocket over night. The eye ruptured, and to save his life it had to be taken out. He isn't bothered by it these days though, and goes about his business just like any other horse would.

I also call him my Chubby Buddy.
